1904 O Morgan Silver Dollar coin. I think this could grade EF possibly AU. The coin is attractive and has eye appeal. Coin has been in storage for almost 30 years since purchased in the early 80s.
Pictures are worth 1000 words but here are my observations of the coin and why I think it could grade as high as EF or even AU.
Obv: Wear is not evident though there are contact marks and wear marks on the cheek and neck; minor contact marks on the field and there is a minor nick under the eye on the cheek. There is clear detail for the eye, nose, lips, hair (including the small curl/lock above the eye), cotton leaves & bolls, and wheat grains. Clear "˜M' at the base of the neck. Rim beading is complete with no signs of wear.
Rev: Minimal contact marks on the eagle and field. Clear and fine details on all parts of the eagle, including the transition area from the neck to the breast, tail feathers, and the wreath. Very light wear to the eagle breast. There are few/limited/very minor contact marks on the coin's field except for a mark or scratch on the coin field to the left of the eagle's wing. Rim beading is complete with no signs of wear.
