A sharp EF+ example of this popular variety, one very scarce above Very Good. Not discovered until 1912, and likely not widely publicized until much later when collector magazines started popping up in the post-Second World War collecting boom. The general lack of collectors in the South at the time (due to economic reasons primarily) and lack of mass collecting of everything until the Boom meant most examples saw extensive use. Only 25 in EF grades at PCGS, about 30 in AU despite 35 years of certification. This example is a bit dark but not too objectionable in my opinion, although there is a sense of very light roughness on the Reverse. No major marks, scuffs or corrosion, and no sign I could see of an obvious cleaning; this might still certify, not that I see the point. In my opinion equivalent to what would otherwise certify EF-45, but discounted just a bit for the less than ideal surfaces. I apologize for the slight fuzzy images of the Reverse, however the salient features should still be obvious.

This seller has enabled "Manual Invoice Approval" on their account. This means that after you complete checkout, you will NOT be automatically redirected to PayPal (if applicable) and will not be able to complete payment immediately. Instead, the seller will review the invoice and may, or may not, add or subtract additional charges, as explained in their policies and/or listing description. When the invoice is updated and approved by the seller, you will receive an automated email notification later, and you will be able to pay the updated invoice as you would normally.
All checks must clear prior to payment of purchase, which may take up to 12 Business days. IF YOU CHOOSE TO PURCHASE MULTIPLE ITEMS, PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE PRIOR TO PAYMENT. I combine all shipping charges to the minimum necessary to get purchases to the customer. Please be aware that the USPS has recently increased postage for package shipments and Insurance - $7-$9 for shipping may look like a lot, but it barely covers my actual cost. If you have any questions, just ask.
