• 1906 Barber Half Dollar, Circulated G04 (consigner graded)
• Composition of 90% silver and 10% copper
• Philadelphia Mint, (Mintage of 2,638,000)

 

GENERAL COIN FACTS/DESCRIPTION:  The Barber Half Dollar obverse shows a bust of Liberty similar in style to that of the Morgan Dollar but facing right. She is wearing a Liberty cap with a laurel wreath and a band inscribed “LIBERTY”; a ribbon ties her hair in the back of her neck. “IN GOD WE TRUST” appears above her head, and the date is found below. Six stars on the left and seven stars on the right represent the original thirteen colonies. The designers initial (B) is at the base of Liberty’s neck.  The reverse bears an adaptation of the Great Seal of the United States and depicts an eagle with outstretched wings, holding an olive branch with thirteen leaves in its right claw and a bundle of thirteen arrows in its left. There is a ribbon with the motto “E PLURIBUS UNUM” being held in the eagle’s beak and thirteen stars are in the field. The mint mark (if any) can be found below the apex of the eagle’s tail feathers.

 

This coin is named after Charles Edward Barber, it’s designer and the 6th Chief Engraver at the United States Mint. It was minted between 1892-1915 at several different U.S. Mint facilities, including Philadelphia, New Orleans, San Francisco, and Denver.

RETURN

If you are not happy with your item please return in the original packaging and with all tags attached within 14 days. Items must be returned postage paid. Refund of purchase price will be refunded by the same method as the payment was made. Postage and packaging will not be refunded.

If your item is faulty or we have sent you something different to what you ordered, again please return it to us within 14 days and we will give you a full refund or replacement (if available); including postage and packaging.
