This is a replica of the 1909 S VDB Small Lincoln Cent that is marked 'COPY' on the reverse. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln Cent was issued by the San Francisco Mint but only 484,000 coins were minted, which is the lowest minted specimen of the Lincoln Wheat series..The VDB are the initials of the designer Victor D Brenner and are stamped on the bottom of the reverse. This is a way of owning a replica of this rare coin for filling a spot in a collection, or for educational purposes. The coin is made of bronze and weighs 2.91+/- grams. It is 18.5+/- mm in diameter.
