An attractive mid-grade example of this truly scarce date. Rated an R-4 in Lawrence’s text on the series, and based upon my experience with the series all of that - more so if anywhere near original. As noted in Lawrence, the strike on this issue is typically shallow, and this coin displays this on Liberty’s forelock, which is a bit flat below LIBERTY. On balance made up by the nice color and surfaces, with the classic reddish-gray toning that you hope to see on an uncleaned example. Based upon the similar PCGS specimen I am also offering (as of Dec. 2024), this is likely to certify VF-25 if submitted. Due to value this will require Insured shipping with Signature Confirmation, hence the S&H shown.

This seller has enabled "Manual Invoice Approval" on their account. This means that after you complete checkout, you will NOT be automatically redirected to PayPal (if applicable) and will not be able to complete payment immediately. Instead, the seller will review the invoice and may, or may not, add or subtract additional charges, as explained in their policies and/or listing description. When the invoice is updated and approved by the seller, you will receive an automated email notification later, and you will be able to pay the updated invoice as you would normally.
All checks must clear prior to payment of purchase, which may take up to 12 Business days. IF YOU CHOOSE TO PURCHASE MULTIPLE ITEMS, PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE PRIOR TO PAYMENT. I combine all shipping charges to the minimum necessary to get purchases to the customer. Please be aware that the USPS has recently increased postage for package shipments and Insurance - $7-$9 for shipping may look like a lot, but it barely covers my actual cost. If you have any questions, just ask.
