This date just nudged out 1907 as the highest mintage coin in the Liberty Head series, and heavily worn examples could still be found in circulation as late as the 1950s.
Most were reasonably well made. Poorly struck coins and those displaying worn dies should be avoided, but the supply of Mint State pieces is large enough that discriminating collectors should be able to find superior examples.
