Here is a fairly rare 1911 S Lincoln Wheat Penny that I have graded as being in overall Fine condition. When you examine the photos for the reverse, you will notice a slight circular indentation around the "N" in "CENT". Evidently, this has been inserted into a machine (gumball?) that damaged it in this way. I would love to submit this to PCGS for grading, however, at best I believe they will provide a grade of "Fine Details" because of the damage to this coin. PCGS (July/August 2021) indicates that an F 12 coin would be worth $40 while USACoinbook shows that if you were to purchase one of these from a dealer you would pay around $65 (!). But because of the damage, I am willing to downgrade the coin to at least a VG. PCGS indicates that a VG 8 coin is worth $35 and USACoinbook tells us that if you were to buy this retail, you would pay $61. So I am willing to put what is essentially a rare but Fine 1911 S Lincoln Wheat Penny on the market for only $34 (plus shipping).
This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
To ensure delivery, this coin will be sent via Certified Mail.
If ordering multiple coins, please note that contrary to what the system indicates, it does not consider multiple items in your basket and calculates the shipping costs as if I were sending each one individually. To overcome this, order all of the coins you want, but do NOT pay yet. I will then go in and adjust the invoice to bring the shipping costs to a more reasonable level. At this time you could pay me.
If paying by check or money order, this coin will be shipped once funds have cleared.
Thanks for looking.
