Here is a 1912 P Liberty Nickel that was sent to PCGS for restoration and it was given a grade of F Detail because of scratches. These scratches are located on the reverse, above the "V." They are quite minor and, for the most part, cannot be seen with the naked eye. The front, as with so many coins, is misaligned with the reverse, but only by a few degrees. PCGS (July/August 2021) indicates that an F 12 coin would be worth $7 and USACoinbook warrants that if you were to go to a dealer to purchase an F 12 coin that you would pay about $5. However, because it can't be given a numerical grade, you can have it for only $4 (plus shipping).
This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
Unlike my other coins, this one will NOT be sent Certified Mail. Thus, to purchase this coin alone, the buyer assumes the risk of the postal service delivering the coin. However, it might be advisable to purchase this coin with another that would be sent via Certified Mail. In this way, you would reduce the shipping cost AND still be able to have it tracked.
If ordering multiple coins from me, please note that the system only allows for those instances where you might buy more than 1 of a given item as opposed to buying multiple items. Thus, if you buy more than 1 item (or coin) from a vendor, you could be socked with what seems to be outrageous shipping costs. To overcome this, order all of the coins you want, but do NOT pay yet. I will then go in and adjust the invoice to bring the shipping costs to a more reasonable level. At this time you should pay me.
If paying by check or money order, this coin will be shipped once funds have cleared.
Thanks for looking.
