1912 P Liberty Nickel

Here is a 1912 P Liberty Nickel that has been submitted to PCGS for restoration and graded as VF Detail because someone apparently decided it needed a cleaning. In spite of this, the details are easily observed and, as you can see, it has not suffered very much wear. Another point of interest from the photos is that the front, like so many other coins, is clearly misaligned with the reverse, but in the opposite direction of most coins. PCGS (July/August 2021) indicates that a VF 20 coin would be worth $12 and USACoinbook warrants that if you were to purchase a VF 20 coin from a dealer that you would pay about $14. However, because someone decided it was a good idea to give this coin a bath, you can have this restored and graded coin for only $6 (plus shipping).

This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
