1913 S Lincoln Wheat Penny

Here is a 1913 S Lincoln Wheat Penny that has been the victim of two factors. First, this coin has been carried in many, many pockets and pocketbooks over the last 100+ years. Second, it has been subjected to some sort of Environmental Damage. Thus, although it was submitted to PCGS for restoration, the damage could not be removed so that the coin was graded as G Detail. (For what it is worth, the resulting appearance is merely a darker coin.) Nevertheless, it is what it is. In examining the photos, you can see that the front, unlike so many other coins, is aligned almost perfectly with the reverse. PCGS (July/August 2021) indicates that the value of a G 4 coin to be $15 while USACoinbook warrants that if you were purchase a G 4 coin from a dealer that you would pay around $16. But you can have this restored and graded coin for only $9 (plus shipping).

This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
