Very Good+, with a 98% complete date, much better than you get in most certified VG-8 or VG-10 examples. It is my opinion that this may be one of the controversial 1914/3-D Overdates, originally identified by Bill Fivaz. It has been suggested that all 1914 Nickels are technically overdates. This is due to the apparent OD feature appearing on coins from all three Mints suggesting it occurred during the hubbing process. As there has been significant controversy about the entire topic, and an acknowledged expert on OMM's and RPD's has refuted the entire subject, calling the veracity of any 1914/3 attribution into question, this is priced based upon what a solid VG+ 1914-D Nickel would normally be – you can make your own mind up about it. Either way, a solid example of this Semi Key date and if nothing else, this would make a good research project for a true student of the series.

This seller has enabled "Manual Invoice Approval" on their account. This means that after you complete checkout, you will NOT be automatically redirected to PayPal (if applicable) and will not be able to complete payment immediately. Instead, the seller will review the invoice and may, or may not, add or subtract additional charges, as explained in their policies and/or listing description. When the invoice is updated and approved by the seller, you will receive an automated email notification later, and you will be able to pay the updated invoice as you would normally.
All checks must clear prior to payment of purchase, which may take up to 12 Business days. IF YOU CHOOSE TO PURCHASE MULTIPLE ITEMS, PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE PRIOR TO PAYMENT. I combine all shipping charges to the minimum necessary to get purchases to the customer. Please be aware that the USPS has recently increased postage for package shipments and Insurance - $7-$9 for shipping may look like a lot, but it barely covers my actual cost. If you have any questions, just ask.
