Here is a 1914 D Lincoln Wheat Penny that is too pristine for PCGS: they have graded it as VF Detail, saying it has been cleaned. Nevertheless, it is an excellent coin and if a numerical grade were possible, one would expect at least a 30, given how little wear is seen on the front and the reverse shows almost no wear. Also, as you can see from the photos, the front, like so many other coins, is not quite aligned with the reverse, being off by just a few degrees. PCGS (July/August 2021) indicates that a VF 20 coin would be worth $300 (a VF 30 would be worth $400) and USACoinbook warrants that if you were purchase a VF 20 coin from a dealer that you would pay around $469 (!). But because someone gave it a bath, you can have this graded coin for only $289 (including shipping).
This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
To ensure delivery, this coin will be sent via Certified Mail.
If ordering multiple coins, please note that the system only allows for those instances where you might buy more than 1 of a given item as opposed to buying multiple items. Thus, if you buy more than 1 item (or coin) from a vendor, you could be socked with what seems to be outrageous shipping costs. To overcome this, order all of the coins you want, but do NOT pay yet. I will then go in and adjust the invoice to bring the shipping costs to a more reasonable level. At this time you should pay me.
If paying by check or money order, this coin will be shipped once funds have cleared.
Thanks for looking.
