1915 P Buffalo Nickel

Here is a 1915 P Buffalo Nickel that PCGS could only give a designation of VF Detail because they were able to find a scratch on the coin. To me, this is a "ticky-tack" designation since the only place I could find any type of scratch is across the hair of the Indian, and then it cannot be seen with the naked eye. You can see from the photos that the front of the coin (unlike so many Buffalo Nickels) is almost perfectly aligned with the reverse. PCGS (July/August 2021) indicates that a VF 20 coin would be worth $16 and USACoinbook warrants that if you were to go to a dealer to purchase a VF 20 coin that you would pay about $13. However, because of its minor damage, you can have it for only $11 (plus shipping).

This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
