1916 P Buffalo Nickel - 2 Feathers

Here is a 1916 P Buffalo Nickel that has been submitted to PCGS for restoration and graded as G 4. What makes this coin stand out is that the Indian only has 2 feathers in his hair. (For those who are unaware - there are the 2 obvious feathers and then there is the tip of a third one between the longer feather and his neck. On this coin, only 2 feathers are seen. This is a semi-common occurrence among many of the Buffalo Nickels.) Also, when you examine the photos, you can see that, like so many Buffalo Nickels, the front is misaligned with the reverse, but only by a couple of degrees. PCGS (July/August 2021) indicates that a G 4 coin of the 2 Feathers variety would be worth $35. However, you can have this graded and certified coin for only $33 (plus shipping).

This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
