This is a replica of the 1916 Variety 1 Standing Liberty Quarter that is marked 'COPY' on the reverse. Variety 1 SL quarters were minted in 1916 and 1917 only and did not display stars below the eagle on the reverse. The 1916 Quarter was issued by the Philadelphia Mint but only 52,000 coins were minted in 1916.
