1917-D Buffalo Nickel 2 Feather Variety. Listed in the Cherypickers' Guide 5th Edition Volume 1, this variety is indexed as FS-05-1917D-401, and appears on page 283. NO TRACE OF THE THIRD FEATHER BEHIND THE INDIAN'S NECK REMAINS. All 4 digits of the date are clear and readable, and only the lower stubble of the buffalo's horn shows. Original surfaces that have not been messed with. Tough to locate in any grade. Grading is subjective. Please examine the attached photos to formulate your own opinion in regard to grade.
