Item Description
Here is a 1917 D Buffalo Nickel that was sent to PCGS for restoration, but, unfortunately, they were not able to undo the fact that someone felt it necessary to treat this coin with acid. Hence, they were only able to give it a grade of Good Detail. You can see from the photos that the front of the coin (like so many Buffalo Nickels) is misaligned with the reverse by a few degrees. PCGS (July/August 2021) indicates that a G 4 coin would be worth $23 and USACoinbook warrants that if you were to go to a dealer to purchase a G 4 coin that you would pay about $20. But both of those values assume that the coin is not damaged, as this one is. Therefore, because of how it apparently has been treated, you can have this restored and graded coin for only $9 (plus shipping).
This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.

Thus, if you were to order multiple coins from me (each a different denomination/year/mint/grade/etc), you could be socked with what seems to be outrageous shipping costs. To overcome this, order all of the coins you want, but do NOT pay yet. I can then go in and adjust the invoice to bring the shipping costs to a more reasonable level. At this time you should pay me.
