Item Description
Here is a 1917 S Walking Liberty Half Dollar (MM on Front or Obverse) that has certainly seen better days. I grade it as in Good condition. But of the various versions minted, it is the rarest for the year of 1917. PCGS (May/June 2021) indicates that a coin of this type in G 4 condition to be worth $45 (!) while USACoinbook indicates that if you were to buy one from a dealer that you would pay about $31. But you can have this coin for only $19 (less than half of what PCGS says it is worth) (plus shipping).
This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
