1918-S (8 over 7) Standing Liberty Quarter, 'COPY' Stamped on Revers

This is a replica of the 1918-S, 8 over 7, Standing Liberty Quarter that is marked 'COPY' on the reverse. The 1918-S Quarter was issued by the San Francisco Mint but a number of these displayed the 8 in the date stamped over a 7. It is not known how many of these over dates were struck. This is a way of owning a replica of this rare coin for filling a spot in a collection, or for educational purposes. The replica is made of brass with silver plating. It weighs 4.82+/- grams.
