Here's a great coin for your collection – the 1919 Buffalo nickel! Struck by the Philadelphia Mint, this coin bears James E. Fraser's popular Indian Head and Buffalo designs. The obverse features a proud profile of the classic Native American. The reverse depicts a rugged American buffalo. The year 1919 witnessed the births of Andy Rooney, Eva Gabor, and Nat King Cole. That same year, 26th U.S. president Theodore Roosevelt died in his sleep at age 60.
