The 1919 dime is the most readily obtainable silver coin struck in this important year. As mintage figures of all denominations began to slip from their wartime highs, the Philadelphia Mint held strong with a delivery of 35.7 million dimes. Nevertheless, this issue is more difficult to locate in fully struck Gem condition than any of the following P-mint deliveries from the 1920s.
