Very well struck and close to Full Head, missing mostly the central head detail (the "ear hole" area). A razor sharp shield and rivets, light overall marks and bold luster, surfaces equivalent to what I associate with coins certified as Choice BU (MS-63 range). In this case the brightness of the surface suggest that this was lightly dipped at one time (NOT "cleaned", i. e. no hairlines). Unlikely to certify if submitted, however I can assure you that most ebay/commercial dealers would not bother to even mention the possibility of a "problem" (and some would try to call it a "Gem BU", based upon what I've seen). This also appears to be a clashed Obverse die, similar to FS-401. The location and detail of the clash are similar if not identical, but as much weaker - it is possible that this is the same die in a later die state, after repolishing to remove the most obvious of the transferred detail.

This seller has enabled "Manual Invoice Approval" on their account. This means that after you complete checkout, you will NOT be automatically redirected to PayPal (if applicable) and will not be able to complete payment immediately. Instead, the seller will review the invoice and may, or may not, add or subtract additional charges, as explained in their policies and/or listing description. When the invoice is updated and approved by the seller, you will receive an automated email notification later, and you will be able to pay the updated invoice as you would normally.
All checks must clear prior to payment of purchase, which may take up to 12 Business days. IF YOU CHOOSE TO PURCHASE MULTIPLE ITEMS, PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE PRIOR TO PAYMENT. I combine all shipping charges to the minimum necessary to get purchases to the customer. Please be aware that the USPS has recently increased postage for package shipments and Insurance - $7-$9 for shipping may look like a lot, but it barely covers my actual cost. If you have any questions, just ask.
