It appears that someone had this toned Morgan glued to some sort of display. The obverse has a shiny clear-coat like appearance that if treated correctly can be removed. If anyone likes coin projects this may be the piece for you but coin does still show other damage as well. Please grade for yourselves as this is the exact coin you will receive.
