1923(P) cents are readily available in all grades up to and including fully red gem. While some pieces were coined from moderately worn dies, this is not a big challenge in selecting a suitable specimen.
Nearly all 1923-dated cents from both mints were coined during the final quarter of the year, as the nation's economy finally began to recover from its post-war recession.
In yet another lapse in style, the numeral 3 failed to conform to Brenner's font. It should have had a long, sweeping tail as on the cents of 1943 and later decades.
