Anyone who knows Buffalo nickles, knows that certain dates were typically weakly struck, and some, very weakly struck. The 24-D is in that latter category. Look on line at certified Mint State coins and you will see that most don't have full horn outlines. Mint State only covers wear, not strike. The result is many people, dealers included, will grade a coin with little wear, and horn not fully outlined, as a Fine. That is simply not logical. A coin does not go from MS to Fine because of a weak strike.
With that said, examine the photos carefully and see that there are no major contact marks on the fields or devices. The blown up photo of the horn detail is the best I can do with my camera. With a hand held magnifier, and good light, the horn appears to be fully outlined. If it's not, it's a hair away. My opinion, I grade it as an XF. You must be the ultimate judge.
So considering the better than average strike, and lack of wear, I "Grade" this coin at $140.
In order to save on shipping low cost Lincoln cents, I will ship up to 3 Lincolns for $1, and up to 6 for $2. I have many dates and mint marks which makes it hard to post all of them. If you send me a want list, I will reply with pictures. You can then pick and choose what you want. Then I will post that package on Coin Book for you to purchase
