1925 90% Silver Peace Silver Dollar PCGS MS65 X-Accugrade 66 Eggshell Toned Gem

This listing is for a 1925, Philadelphia issue Peace Silver Dollar graded  PCGS MS65

This coin was previously in an Accugrade MS66 holder. Rather than send it in for a cross over, I figured cracking it out would give the coin the best chance at earning the 66 grade. This coin was recently cracked out of the pictured Accugrade MS66 Holder holder and submitted to PCGS. I still have the cracked out Accugrade Slab and will include the old slab with the winner of this auction

1. They can view the coin raw which is an advantage over viewing it through the plastic,

 2. There wouldnt be any grading bias or influence with them seeing it in an Accugrade 66 slab! At least that was my mindset. I thought it had a 50/50 shot of grading 66 with PCGS and I am not one to even expect a 65 to have a better than 50/50 chance unless the coin is beyond rock solid for the 65 grade.

Peace Dollars are next level difficult to receive grades above 65 and this theorem is proved once again. This example has extremely strong and fully original luster. There are almost no contact marks on the cheek, in the fields or any of the secondary areas for that matter. Any contact marks that exist are trivial in size and located in secondary or hidden areas. The strike is full, and the eye appeal is very good so I was optimistic this one had a shot, but PCGS deemed this to be worthy of just another 65 grade!
