Item Description
More or less typical strike for this quality challenged date, however I have seen far worse. This displays a full date and a full horn on the Bison - the end of his tail is also visible however you cannot quite make out the split. Both dies show the typical slight roughness due to extended use of the dies but not as bad a commonly seen. Virtually NO wear, almost all detail that is missing is due to the strike. This would already be at PCGS except for the spot at the Native's mouth. This is due to a light old corrosion spot due to moisture while in non-numismatic storage. No active corrosion at this area now. Otherwise original surfaces and nice color, decent luster considering the surfaces. The "blips" on the Reverse rim edge at 8:00 at small cuds/die breaks. This might (?) still certify but I did not wish to chance the time and money to find out. Considering that this would normally be a $500+ coin, it should work for someone who wants a decent high grade example for a raw set. It should not need be said, but guaranteed genuine, in case anyone is overly concerned. Due to value this will require Insured shipping with Signature Confirmation, hence the S&H shown.
