This is an outstanding 1925-S Buffalo Nickel. The surfaces are very clean and the reverse looks more like VF-20. The primary reason this grades F-15+ instead is that the "19" in the date is weak. When you pick the coin up you can see the top half of the "1" and the "9" looks more like a blob. Still this is a very nice coin of a tough semi-key date that is notorious for weak strikes. In fact Buffalo Nickel specialist Ron Pope says that full strike on 25-S simply do not exist. About 49% of existing coins will have a typical strike and 33% will be weak. Many 25-S nickels were struck on dies well which were well past average die life. (Stock #05c1925615 YYMTFV ?YRW)
