Selling off my personal coin collection. This 90% Silver, 10% Copper 1925 Stone Mountain Half Dollar is marked to be in XF condition. The coin is not known to have been professionally graded and the grade on the holder is from the previous collector or shop where it was purchased in the 1960’s and 70’s.
Struck in the Philadelphia Mint, its purpose was to raise money on behalf of the Stone Mountain Confederate Monumental Association for the Stone Mountain Memorial near Atlanta, Georgia and features a depiction of Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson.
This coin was placed in a new holder with grading and other markings copied from the original.
Please see all pictures as they are a very important part of the description and allow you to judge the condition for yourself.
Please send me a message if you have any questions.
