The 1926-D Mercury dime boasts a small mintage of 6.8 million pieces. While this date can be located in lower Mint State grades without too much difficulty, examples above the Gem level are very scarce. Coins in Superb Gem condition, exhibiting Full Bands definition, are extremely rare.
