I encourage you to closely examine the photos of this coin and then go on Ebay or other websites and look at certified XF coins. Not just of this date, but other dates to get a feel of what the experts call XF. Also, check the prices on any '26-S's you find.
1926-S Mercury dimes are notoriously weakly struck, so any wear down grades them swiftly. Almost Uncirculated coins are priced in the $400++ range.
With that said, and you've done your homework, I believe this coin is worth the asking price. Glad to hear your comments.
