1928 90% Silver Peace Silver Dollar Key Date 360k Mintage Lustrous AU Slider
This auction is for a key date 1928 Philadelphia issue Peace Dollar. With the lowest mintage in the series at 360,000 coins, many of which have been lost, melted or destroyed, the survival rate is estimated at under 30% of the original mintage.
This coin is a borderline AU/BU slider. I call it AU as the luster isn't as full and unbroken as I would like to see. There are a couple of wispy light hairlines when viewing the coin at the right angle. Eye appeal on this coin is very good and the coin retains excellent, natural pewter silver tone, minimal toning and no other distractions.
