Here is a rather sad-looking 1929 D Buffalo Nickel that has been submitted to PCGS for restoration and graded as F Detail. While the coin is greatly improved over its previous state, nevertheless, it has not been improved enough to justify a numerical grade. You can see from the photos that, like so many Buffalo Nickels, the front is misaligned with the reverse by a few degrees. PCGS (July/August 2021) indicates that an F 12 coin would be worth $6 and USACoinbook warrants that if you were to purchase an F 12 coin from a dealer that you would pay approximately $2.74. However, because it is such a sad-looking graded coin, you can have it for only $2 (plus shipping).
This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
Unlike my other coins, this one will NOT be sent Certified Mail. Thus, to purchase this coin alone, the buyer assumes the risk of the postal service delivering the coin. However, it might be advisable to purchase this coin with another that would be sent via Certified Mail. In this way, you would reduce the shipping cost AND still be able to have it tracked.
If you do decide to order multiple coins from me, please note that the system only allows for those instances where you might buy more than 1 of a given item as opposed to buying multiple items. Thus, if you buy more than 1 item (or coin) from a vendor, you could be socked with what seems to be outrageous shipping costs. To overcome this, order all of the coins you want, but do NOT pay yet. I will then go in and adjust the invoice to bring the shipping costs to a more reasonable level. At this time you should pay me.
If paying by check or money order, this coin will be shipped once funds have cleared.
Thanks for looking.
