This issue is common in all circulated grades, and fully red gems have a relatively high certified population up through MS 66 RD.
Most 1929(P) are reasonably well struck and display full details. These details, however, will never be as bold and rich as on the cents before 1918, since the obverse master hub wore down from having made so many impressions during the years of high mintages. Lincoln's features would only continue to soften, until they became nearly unrecognizable by the mid 1950s.
