Item Description
Here is a 1929 S Buffalo Nickel that was sent to PCGS for restoration and received a grade of XF Detail because they have determined that it was the victim of the "Wrap Machine." The only place that I can find where a mark is to be found is a very small one on the hip of the buffalo. From the photos, you can see that the front of the coin (like so many Buffalo Nickels) is misaligned with the reverse, but not by much. PCGS (July/August 2021) indicates that an EF 40 coin would be worth $20 and USACoinbook warrants that if you were to go to a dealer to purchase an EF 40 coin that you would pay about $13. However, you can have this graded coin for only $9 (plus shipping).
This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
