Here is a 1921 P Mercury Dime that has been sent in to PCGS for restoration and received a grade of XF 45, almost good enough to justify an AU designation. You can see from the photos that, like so many coins, the front is misaligned with the reverse by a few degrees, however it is in the opposite direction. PCGS (July/August 2021) indicates that an XF 45 coin would be worth $22 and while USACoinbook states that if you were to buy an XF 40 coin from a dealer that you would pay only $12, if you were to purchase an AU 50 coin, you would pay $24. However, you can have this graded coin for only $21 (plus shipping).
This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
To ensure delivery, this coin will be sent via Certified Mail.
Please note that the system is not structured to adjust the shipping charges unless I was selling several coins under a single listing. (I have not seen anyone on USACoinbook do this.) Thus, if you were to order multiple coins from me (each a different denomination/year/mint/grade/etc), you could be socked with what seems to be outrageous shipping costs. To overcome this, order all of the coins you want, but do NOT pay yet. I can then go in and adjust the invoice to bring the shipping costs to a more reasonable level. At this time you should pay me.
If paying by check or money order, this coin will be shipped once funds have cleared.
Thanks for looking.
