Item Description
Here is a 1931 S Buffalo Nickel that has been graded by PCGS as F 15, almost good enough to justify a designation as a VF coin. Since San Francisco was the only mint producing Buffalo Nickels that year, and only 1.2M were coined, this is a fairly rare coin. You can also see from the photos that, like so many Buffalo Nickels, the front is misaligned with the reverse, but only by a couple of degrees. PCGS (July/August 2021) indicates that an F 15 coin would be worth $23 and USACoinbook warrants that if you were to purchase an F 12 coin from a dealer that you would pay approximately $20 (more for an F 15). However, you can have this graded coin for only $19 (plus shipping).
This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
