This item is a 1933 Saint-Gaudens Gold Double Eagle ($20) Exonumia Fantasy Coin. It is not a replica or a reproduction of a standard-issue US Mint coin as the the coin has a plain edge. There were only 445500 Saint Gaudens Double Eagles struck in 1933 and today only 13 are known to still exist as the Mint melted was to have melted them all down. All 1933 Double Eagles that were minted had a lettered edge that stated E PLURIBUS UNUM with the words separated by stars. This is a chance to own this very rare gold coin specimen for a blank in a collection or for educational purposes. The coin is made of copper with gold plating.
