1934-D Peace Dollar Doubled Die Obverse, VAM 3. MS60 details, lightly cleaned as the surfaces have a somewhat polished appearance. Strongly doubled rays in the tiara (crown), Lady Liberty's profile including forehead, nose, mouth, chin, the letter D of GOD, and the word WE. This coin features the medium sized "D" mintmark. All the rows of feathers on the eagle's back are fully separated and well-defined. Lady Liberty's hair shows sharp details. This popular doubled die is included in the Cherrypickers' Guide 5th Edition Volume 2, indexed as FS-S1-1934D-003, and can be found on page 389. Grading is subjective. Please examine the attached photos to formulate your own opinion in regard to grade.
