This is an extremely common issue across all grades through MS 66, though it is seldom fully struck at the centers. The example illustrated is fairly typical, being weak in the hair above the braid and at the highest point of the bison's coat. On the plus side, luster for 1935 nickels is almost uniformly excellent.
This date is known with a quite minor doubled-die obverse variety and several for the reverse, as well. Of these, NGC will attribute the most desirable ones under its VarietyPlus Service.
