Here is a 1936 S Buffalo Nickel that has been submitted to PCGS for restoration and graded as XF 45, almost good enough to justify a designation as an AU coin. It was sent in because I felt it was an S/S (FS-501); alas, I was mistaken, although you can see doubling on the mint mark. Apparently, it does not match their definition of an FS-501 and my mistake is your gain. As you examine the photos, you can see that, unlike so many Buffalo Nickels, the front is aligned almost perfectly with the reverse. PCGS (September/October 2021) indicates that an XF 45 coin would be worth $7 and while USACoinbook warrants that if you were to go to a dealer that you would pay between $4 and $5 for an EF 40 coin, they also state that an AU 50 coin would cost you $13. However, you can have this restored and graded coin for only $5 (plus shipping).
This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
To ensure delivery, this coin will be sent via Certified Mail.
Please note that the system is not structured to adjust the shipping charges unless I was selling several coins under a single listing. (I have not seen anyone on USACoinbook do this.) Thus, if you were to order multiple coins from me (each a different denomination/year/mint/grade/etc), you could be socked with what seems to be outrageous shipping costs. To overcome this, order all of the coins you want, but do NOT pay yet. I can then go in and adjust the invoice to bring the shipping costs to a more reasonable level. At this time you should pay me.
If paying by check or money order, this coin will be shipped once funds have cleared.
Thanks for looking.
