Here is a nice 1938-S Jefferson Nickel which is a Near Gem (MS-64) with interesting toning which is more typical of a silver coin of the same era. The minimal amount of contact marks on the coin literally does not take all of your fingers to count. All five of the steps show detail but there are two very tiny marks and then a weak spot in the center from the strike that prevent any of the steps from being full. Just the presence of two of those factors and you could call this coin Near Full Steps but three is just too much for that. Still the interesting silver tone to this 38-S will make an interesting addition to your set of Jefferson Nickels. (Stock #05c1938664YNAPXX)
