1942-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar Doubled Die Obverse (DDO) in low range very fine grade. Strong doubling can be seen on the neck and chin, and right breast of Lady Liberty. Also seen on the drapery folds at her waist, and under her right arm. Original surfaces that have not been messed with. This variety is included in the Cherrypickers' Guide to Rare Die Varieties 5th Edition Volume 2, is indexed as FS-50-1942S-101, and can be found on page 275. An affordable variety of this tough-to-find DDO. Grading is subjective. Please examine the attached photos to formulate your own opinion in regard to grade.
