This coin is not a forged 1948 made to look like a 1943 bronze penny.

Several tells are obvious at first glance. The 1 & 4 on a 1943 are even

at their base while the 9 & 3 extend down further.

Also the 4 its self is a different font and very easy to recognize because

the 4 on the 1943 is squared off ie no pointed parts while the 4 in 1948

looks like an old arrow head with points on every corner of it.
