1943-D Washington Quarter Doubled Die Obverse (DDO). About Uncirculated+ Grade.  This popular variety is included in the Cherrypickers' Guide 5th Edition Volume 2, indexed as FS-25-1943D-101, and can be found on page 178. Strong doubling on the ear, hair curls, the chin, and the queue. Excellent close-up pictures of this doubled die can be seen on the Variety Vista website. Grading is subjective. Please examine the attached photos to formulate your own opinion in regard to grade.
