This is a 1944-D Lincoln cent in Brilliant Uncirculated (MS63 or better) full red condition. It has a doubled die obverse that is listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1944-D 1¢ WDDO-019. It has a close Class II spread towards the center that shows on the 44 in the date and the bottom horizontal bar of the E in WE. The photos of this variety are file photos and not necessarily photos of the specimen being sold here. This is a minor doubled die variety that requires magnification to see. If you collect only doubled dies that are easy to see, then this doubled die variety may not be for you. Satisfaction guaranteed. Full 14 day return privilege as long as the coin has not been removed from the 2x2 in which it was sold. You can rest assured that you are getting a genuine doubled die variety. I am the John A. Wexler who has authored or co-authored numerous different books about die varieties including the original The RPM Book, The Complete Price Guide and Cross Reference to Lincoln Cent Mint Mark Varieties, The Lincoln Cent Doubled Die, The Best of the Jefferson Nickel Doubled Die Varieties, The Best of the Washington Quarter Doubled Die Varieties, The Authoritative Reference on Lincoln Cents, Treasure Hunting Buffalo Nickels, Treasure Hunting Mercury Dimes and several others.
