Offered here for the collector is a 1944-S Jefferson War Nickel.
This is a 1944-S Jefferson nickel made during WWII. It's made of 35% silver because the nickel was needed for the war effort. By law any time there's a change in composition, there must be a change in design, so the S and D mint marks were made larger and moved above the Monticello. This also caused the first appearance of the P, for the Philadelphia Mint. It's in pretty nice shape considering how old it is. If you'd like to have it, I'll send it out within one business day.
