1946-S Booker T Washington half dollar

This is one of many old coins that I inherited from my grandfather 50 years ago and that have sat in my dresser drawer for all those years.  I know nothing about coins, but if you ask me a question in layman's terms I will do my best to answer correctly and honestly.  By my amateur eye, this coin is in excellent condition, showing very little wear, just some scuffing.
