1946-S Roosevelt Dime Doubled Die Obverse. On the Variety Vista Website, There are 14 different doubled dies listed for the 1946-S Dime. Using a process of elimination, I have concluded that the Roosevelt dime available here is DDO #7-O-II-C. The doubling can be seen on the date, IN GOD WE TRUST, the designer's initials (JS), and the base of the bust. For reliable die markers, the light die crack that connects the top portions of the letters L & I of LIBERTY (as seen for this listing on Variety Vista) is visible on this coin, and the position/location of the ball serif mintmark matches that of the coin listed here. To top it off, the coin is attractively and naturally toned especially so on the obverse. Grading is subjective. Please examine the attached photos to formulate your own opinion in regard to grade.
