1947 C. Smith restrike of the 1927 Lucky Lindbergh "So-Called Half Dollar", part of the series Smith had made to fill the void left by the cessation of U. S. Commemorative Half Dollar issuance. This is the far scarcer Gilt version, Gem Uncirculated, certified NGC MS-65PL. Gilt pieces have a total Pop of only 11 pieces, this being the finer of the two currently certified P/L, with one MS-66DPL finer. I know that I see very few compared to the common white metal/Nickel pieces, especially this nice.

This seller has enabled "Manual Invoice Approval" on their account. This means that after you complete checkout, you will NOT be automatically redirected to PayPal (if applicable) and will not be able to complete payment immediately. Instead, the seller will review the invoice and may, or may not, add or subtract additional charges, as explained in their policies and/or listing description. When the invoice is updated and approved by the seller, you will receive an automated email notification later, and you will be able to pay the updated invoice as you would normally.
All checks must clear prior to payment of purchase, which may take up to 12 Business days. IF YOU CHOOSE TO PURCHASE MULTIPLE ITEMS, PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE PRIOR TO PAYMENT. I combine all shipping charges to the minimum necessary to get purchases to the customer. Please be aware that the USPS has recently increased postage for package shipments and Insurance - $7-$9 for shipping may look like a lot, but it barely covers my actual cost. If you have any questions, just ask.
